Solving with five or six sizes gets closer to the theoretical value; it was never meant for a human to study. Each node's frequency is split across sizes, 33% here, 25% there. You can't memorise it and you can't use it at the table. An evening of study and nothing sticks.
At the table you use one size. First work out which size each node should use and how often, then you can talk about strategy. All hold'em study should begin from a single size; multiple sizes come later.
Edit the tree settings, remove sizes, re-solve, check the strategy hasn't drifted. An hour or two per tree; nobody gets through a hundred. Remove the wrong size and the whole tree changes character, and you won't know by how much.
Drop in a multi-size save and it picks the best single size at every node, keeping the result nearly lossless against the original. What comes out is a single-size tree you can study straight away. Queue dozens or hundreds of saves and let it run.
Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit. No installer: unzip and run, no runtime to install. More RAM helps on big trees; 32 GB or more is recommended.
The software does its computation through the activated PioSOLVER 2 or 3 on your PC; PioSOLVER is not included. It finds your Pio installation automatically, or you can point it there manually. Results produced with Pio3 open in Pio3.
Sign up, then message me on Discord or by email (buttons under My account). Once paid, the license is added to your account and the download is available immediately.
The first time you open the app it shows a machine code. Copy it, paste it into My account, and the site generates the activation code for that PC on the spot.
Paste the whole activation code back into the app and click Activate. From then on it opens straight to the main window.
Flop and turn saves from PioSOLVER 2 and 3. The output is in the format of whichever Pio version did the processing.
Not noticeably. When deciding which size to keep at each node the software checks the effect on the whole tree and keeps the loss tiny. That's the difference from just switching sizes off by hand.
Unbind the old PC under My account and generate a code for the new one. One license can be bound to 2 computers at once, with 2 rebinds per year.
Depends on the tree and your PC: small trees take tens of seconds, large trees with thousands of turn nodes take ten minutes to half an hour. Batch runs can be left unattended.
No. The software does no solving itself; all computation is done by your own PioSOLVER, so you need a working copy first.
Sign in to My account and download the latest version any time. Unzip over the old one; your activation is unaffected.
